Southbay Civil Engineering enjoyed a highly successful evening at the prestigious ICE North East Robert Stephenson Awards, taking home the Medium Sized Project (£1m–£5m) award for our North and South Shields Pier Repairs project.
The award recognises the outstanding work delivered by our project team in carrying out essential repairs to the historic piers, helping to preserve these important structures for future generations while ensuring they remain safe and functional.
The evening brought further success for Southbay, with our Redcar Bulk Terminal Upgrade project receiving Highly Commended in the Large Project of the Year category. The project involved significant marine engineering works to upgrade the terminal and enhance its long-term operational capacity.
